A CATALYST FOR CHANGE

Coastal 150 is an exclusive group of business and community leaders who work from a grassroots level to the highest levels of government to make coastal Alabama the place to live, work and play along the Gulf Coast.Coastal 150 was founded in 2017 after the Alabama Legislature voted to take 90% of the civil penalties money resulting from the Gulf Oil Spill. These funds were intended for use in both coastal counties, Mobile and Baldwin. As a result of this action, business leaders were inspired to take a more proactive position in participating in the political process. This newly established effort was created to give our coast a broader voice in state politics and as a way to better ensure the current and future needs and issues of coastal Alabama are met. Coastal 150 gives all regional leaders an opportunity to be involved in the development of our coastal region’s bright future.
